Halloween

Brock carved his own pumpkin this year and did a great job!

My cute boys all dressed up and ready to trunk or treat.

We had a fabulous time at the party and Grandma Linda's. We had pizza and cider. Jessica gave all the kids some great pumpkin glassses. Then it was time to play the game loved by all the kids, bob for a donut. We play this every year and the kids think it's the best.

When D realized there was food involved he was not going to miss out. As you can see it did not take him long to decide that his hands worked best and just grabbed the donut.

Brock

1st Grade Here I come! Brock is loving first grade and is doing to great. I on the other hand miss him so much during the day.

This is Brock and Hoppers, Mrs. Taylors 1st grade mascot. It was Brocks turn to bring Hoppers home and spend time with him. He wrote in Hoppers journal about taking Hoppers to Grandmas to play with the cousins and help Grandma move.

1st soccer game of the season. Brock has an awesome coach this season and is really enjoying his team the Green Monsters!

Tri Tri Again & Again & Again

As many of you know Mat had been training to Compete in the Spudman Triathlon. After a emotional completion he said "I never want to do that again." That statement only lasted a few minutes though and he is already trying to plan the for the next one and I fear the next and the next. Brock had a good time cheering for Mat and even made this cute sign to hold up for Mat when he went by.

We are so super proud of Mat for setting a goal and reaching it!! He wanted to meet a time of 2 hours and 30 min and his time was 2:30:33! He made it!!

We all had a great time in the Twin Falls/Burley area. We stayed at the Anderson Rv Park and they had a swimming pool and a very beat up mini golf course (but Brock did not mind one bit he loved every minute of it). Here are a few pics of the boys from the weekend. As you will notice the weekend did not come without it's events from Big D. (notice the head/nose)

The last few weeks

I know I should be saying the last few months but I just don't have time to recap it all.

Summer is here and life is so crazy busy! (but it is super fun) We have been playing so much outside swimming, swinging, riding bikes and so much more.

The fourth of July weekend was extra fun. Mat's Brother Jake and his wife Syd were sealed in the temple on Saturday so Mat and I took a quick trip to Seattle to be with them we had so much fun with them and seeing their place there.
We then rushed home to be with our boys. They spent some time with Grandma, Grandpa and Bryan and Kiersti at the Bear Foot Retreat Cabin that Grandma and Grandpa just purchased in Midway. The cabin is super cute and we can't wait to spend time there.
On Monday we spent some time with the Spill's having a BBQ and going to Layton City Fireworks, have I really lived here 7 years and never enjoyed the extravaganza? They were awesome! It will be the new tradition!! Check out the cute shirts Mary made for all the kids.

This is Big D picking up the Dragon Fly that Brock found in the backyard. He has no fear, Brock was yelling at him to let go before he smashed it. It was super funny.

One

It's super hard to believe that Baby D is a year old. We had so much fun celebrating his birthday. As you can see he loved eating his cake. The photo does not show the frosting that found it's way into his ears and nose. When I took him to bath him he sneezed and frosting shot out his nose.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY D we love having you in our family!

BiG Brother

Brock is truly the best big brother ever. He is always finding fun things to do with D. One day awhile back Brock brought me these two bandanna's and asked me to tie them one at a time on his head so he could play pirates. I was not sure why he needed two but I happily met his request. I few min later I came into the living room to find that he had put one on D's head so he could play pirate too.

He loves pushing D around in the laundry basket.

He recently found that Duncan loves to roll around in a pile of pillows so he frequently bring every pillow from the house out for D to play in. We are so blessed to have Brock in our family!!

Best Baby Ever

Duncan is 9 months old and is really a great baby! He has such a happy personality and really keeps us on our toes with his adventurous exploration's. He want to see and touch everything and figure out what it can do. He loves his Daddy, when Mat gets home form work he just lights up with excitement.
Duncan got his first cold this past week and the poor kid has been having a really hard time breathing. I took him to the doctor and he has Bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small passages in the lungs (bronchioles), usually caused by a viral infection.) We are giving him treatment with the nebulizer and he is so good at just sitting there while he has the treatment. Even while he has been sick he has still been very happy.

Suit Up

My handsome boy! Brock has been asking us for a suit for several months so we finally got him one. He is so proud of his suit. He has worn it to church every Sunday and when I ask if he is wearing his suit he looks at me as if I have asked the dumbest question ever. (so now I ask just to see his face) He had to wear it to both Grandparents houses and make sure that everyone noticed, he did not say anything to them just gave a GQ stance an waited for a response. He is so cute!

Cookie Trees

Last night we made Christmas Trees out of star shaped sugar cookies. We had so much fun decorating them!

As you can see Brock just wanted to eat his right away

Update

Who has time for blogging? Not me! It's been so long I thought I would just update.

Mat has been enjoying RSL's great season and had lots of fun attending the MLS cup in Seattle. He is also very busy with work and his Ward missionary calling.
I am trying to figure out how to me a mom of two, it's beeen quite an adjustment but I think I am getting the hang of it. I an keeping myself busy getting ready for the Holidays and hope once they are over I can get caught up on scrapbooking.
Brock is loving the big K. He likes his teacher and is making many new friends, I love to hear all the stories he tells about things that happend at school. He is learing to read and really enjoys it. He is constanly asking me as we drive places what city we are in and what words spell. It is really fun to watch him grow.
Duncan is a busy body to say the leaste. He is always moving and wnats to go everywhere Brock goes. He makes the simplist tasks like dressing him adn changing his diaper difficlut. He loves standing up at the couch and laundy basket to play. His is an awesome eater and it is staring to show in his cubby cheeks.
We are having so much fun and trying to enjoy each moment as they come. Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.

TWO cute

My dad signed Brock up as a member of SASS (Single Action Shooter Society). Part of the membership includes a monthly "cowboy newspaper". Brock gets very excited when it arrives. It came this week and I walked into the office and found this.

Duncan is getting bigger everyday (at least is seems that way) He really enjoys eating "solid" foods. He makes all kinds of noises as you feed him to let you know he is enjoying himself. The newest thing he has discovered is his feet. He loves to hold on to them.

BiG K

Brock started Kindergarten this week. I am not sure where the last 5 years have gone! I was a bit sad when Brock said he wanted dad to take him to school, (what he really wanted was everyone to see the cool truck his dad just bought) but after they left I was really glad that Mat had been home to take him so I did not have to stand and watch him go in to school with tear filled eyes.
He is loving every min of school and asks all morning long when do I get to go to school. I am so proud of the little man he is becoming.

RoLLie PoLLie

Duncan just learned to Rollover yesterday and now he just can't seem to stop. He must have rolled over a dozen times in just an hour. It is so fun to watch him realize that he can control his body. He is constantly smiling and he loves to "talk" to Brock.
We took him in for his 4 month apt today. He is 26" long (90Th percentile) and only weighs 13 lbs. (25Th percentile) We are going to start solids in the next week and I am hoping they will help fatten him up. I guess a good thing about him being so skinny is Brock's clothes should all fit him in the right seasons.

Brock just had his 5th Birthday! We had so much fun we had a company called Wild Things come and demonstrate animals. We got to touch a snake, scorpion, hedge hog, tree frog, and lots of other animals. Brock's favorite was the talking parrot, the Hedge Hog and the scorpion. Thanks to all who celebrated with us!

Duncan's Blessing

Words can not express the feelings that I have today. I feel so blessed that the Lord had trusted me to raise one of his special spirits. We are truly blessed to have Duncan in our family. Thank you to all of you who came to show your love and support!

This is Duncan with Grandpa Tom his name sake. We love you Grandpa your testimony is a strength to all of your grandchildren!
